Everyone flocks when they see the price of some of the discounted sunglasses at the flea market or the local supermarket. Often times even high end brand name sunglasses will be heavily discounted. This article will give you the low down on where to find and why they are discounted.

High end brand names like Chloe, Dolce and Gabanna, Gucci, Versace and Tommy Hilfiger sunglasses will be seen heavily discounted every now and again and if you look hard enough. The reason is because the times have changed and the style is definitely not ‘in’ anymore. New times bring hot new styles and that’s exactly what people want. However, don’t let this discourage you from buying too much. Some styles are definitely stylish and hip and if you find any scoop them up for the low price while you can.
Common sense pricing.
Look at the prices of the sunglasses. Imagine you find a pair of Dolce and Gabanna sunglasses. The price tag reads 289.99 crossed out and the new price reads $99.99. Wow, what a bargain. Look around at the sunglasses closely. Things you want to watch for are below.
A distortion can be noticed when you put the sunglasses on when the sun is shining. Choose a certain object in your view and fixate your eyes there. While keeping your eyes on the object, move your head left to right and up and down. See if the object appears to distort. If it does, there lens is slightly defective and this can cause such a drastic reduction in the price of the sunglasses. Often times a pair should be deemed as garbage but for some reason they put it in the bargain bin instead. If the distortion is small and you can live with it, then that’s excellent, buy it up right away. If the distortion is as large as the size of a penny on the lens, perhaps you shouldn’t scoop it up after all.
Scratches and blemishes or crack in the lens can be spotted by holding the pair up to your face and looking at something bright and then getting the reflection of the bright to bounce off the sunglasses and watch it closely. Doing so will bring out any scratches, blemishes or cracks in plain sight and you’ll spot them right away. Again, if you can live with them, probably a good bargain but if the damage is to great, perhaps it’s time to set it back down and walk away. Put your money on another pair.
If you ever happen to find a pair that is in perfect condition but there is a screw missing, look around for a sunglasses shop. Buy the pair and ask the sunglasses kiosk operator if he can fix your pair of sunglasses for you. If your lucky, the operator will do it for free. However, most will charge you a dollar or two for the quick repair. The operators of a sunglasses kiosk in your local mall will be perfect.
